IN PRAISE OF CONTINUOUS LEARNING
World Ombudsman Day is on the second Thursday in October. It’s
a relative newcomer on the calendar of international days worth
celebrating and a testament to the rise in popularity of the alternate
dispute resolution process. And it’s not difficult to see the appeal.
Ombuds offices help people by promoting fairness, solving conflicts,
and upholding ethics. To do this well, we depend on working
together with like-minded organisations. This makes our job easier
and our work more impactful.
