Iqshaan Alladin [LLB; MBA; Dip. Eng. (Elec)] is an accomplished strategic management, legal and compliance professional with a successful >25 year track record in the retail, engineering, manufacturing, importing, standardization, conformity assessment and regulatory affairs industry sectors. He has served the SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) as Test Engineer, Inspector and General Manager; CBI Electric as Product Manager, Director/ Board Member; Schneider Electric as Marketing Manager; and currently serves Walmart Africa/ Massmart as Compliance SME (Subject Matter Expert) – Product Safety and Consumer Protection.

Iqshaan is also an International & National Expert in Product Safety/ Consumer Protection standardization in ISO (International Standards Organization) and SABS technical committees, and currently Chairman of national technical committee responsible for consumer policy and standards. He has also served early in his career as SA’s nominee on the IEC CMC (International Electro-technical Commission (Management Committee); was signatory to numerous international multilateral trade agreements underpinned by conformity assessment harmonization; served in various Advisor roles to DME (Dept. of Minerals and Energy), NERSA (National Energy Regulatory for SA), DOL (Dept. of Labour), SARS/ Customs & Excise and NGB (National Gambling Board).
