Magauta Mphahlele
Ombudsman
Magauta holds an Honors Degree in Applied Linguistics and a Postgraduate Diploma in English Education from Wits University. She is an Accredited Court Annexed Mediator and a respected speaker and commentator on all issues related to credit, consumer protection and rental housing.
She started her career as a Junior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Linguistics at Wits University. Before joining the CGSO, Magauta was the CEO of Ithuseng Credit Solutions which is registered with the National Credit Regulator as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Agent responsible for resolving credit disputes through Mediation, Conciliation or Arbitration. She also managed various capacity building projects, monitored and evaluated the performance of eight regulatory institutions at the Department of Trade and Industry (The DTI). She was instrumental in driving the development and enactment of the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection Act.
Her passion is to ensure a healthy and fair credit and consumer protection market in South Africa through influencing policy and legislation, as well as empowering consumers with information about their rights, obligations and options when they are experiencing financial difficulties or feel that their rights have been transgressed.

Queen Munyai
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Queen joined CGSO in November 2013 as a GM: Corporate Services after being with CGCSA where she worked as Internal Audit & Compliance Officer. Prior to joining CGCSA, Queen worked as a Business/ Financial Consultant both in Public and Private Sector in areas of Finance, Internal Audit and Compliance. Prior to this, she also worked at Standard Bank of South Africa for 10 years and Momentum for 2 years. She has more than 20 years working experience in a Financial and Auditing environment.
She holds a B Com (Financial Accounting) from the University of Pretoria, Programme in Forensic & Investigative Auditing and a Postgraduate Program in Advanced Taxation from Unisa She is a member of SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) and IoD (Institute of Directors South Africa).


Nomsa Tokoane Marketing Assistant
Nomsa Tokoane obtained her National diploma in Marketing Management through the Vaal University of Technology in November 2017. Before joining CGSO I was working as a Sales Executive Trainee at Hyundai Motors for a year.



Phillip Ramalobela Senior Adjudicator
Phillip Ramalobela obtained his LLB degree at the University of Limpopo. He then worked in practice specializing in labour and civil law and was then admitted as an attorney of the high court and he moved to LegalWise where he worked as a Senior Legal Counsellor and also acted as a branch manager at LegalWise for over a year at the Soweto and Johannesburg branch.












Obakeng Rammila Obakeng obtained an LLB (Bachelors of Law) degree from University of Johannesburg . Previously worked for Minemed as a sales representative.


William Mmotong Call Center Agent William obtained an HRM National Diploma from Vaal University of Technology in 2017, did a learnership of child and youth development from Nomcebo Community Development Project and volunteered at Sechaba Community Care Center in the year 2018 and recently joined CGSO.

Selinah Sempe Call Centre Agent I obtained my Diploma in Travel and Tourism from DAM Business College in 2002.I have 14 years working experience in total. I started to work at Absa Bank as a Bank Teller. I also worked for Mango Airlines as a Check in Agent and I then got a job at Europcar/Tempest car hire as a Car Rental Agent. I later on joined Dollar Thrifty Car Rental and my job position was a Car Rental Agent/Front desk receptionist. I recently joined CGSO working as an Call Centre Agent.
Sibusiso Mkhize Call Centre Agent I have vast knowledge and experience in customer service and carry more than five years in retail industry where I dealt with customers directly. Having spent 6 years in Transunion credit Bureau, I successfully rotated in different departments such as call centre, administration, data compliance administrator and I also hold a certificate of Good customer service which was awarded to me by Transunion. Furthermore, I spent two years as a call centre agent with the Credit Ombud alongside having worked in different companies as a safety officer as I obtained a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety through The Oxbridge Academy.
