Marlinie Kotiah – Danone

Marlinie Kotiah is a senior executive with over 30 years’ FMCG experience across leading food businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK, including Kellogg, AVI and Danone. She has led Research and Innovation, Marketing, Corporate and Consumer Affairs, Governance, Legal, Regulatory, Sustainability and Compliance functions.

She holds a BSc in Dietetics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Dietetics from UKZN, and an MBA from Wits. A member of the IoDSA, she is committed to sound governance and ethical leadership. Marlinie has extensive experience navigating complex regulatory environments, leading crisis response, influencing policy and strengthening stakeholder relationships. Her board experience reflects a strong commitment to consumer protection, ethical leadership, and social impact.
